Color Genotype
Bronze Sunset’s color genotype is EEAA. This genotype tells us she has brown alleles with no dilution. She will be unable to produce white or black, and instead, will produce medium fawn to brown cria.
Personality
While this lady originally was born at a large farm, she has quickly adapted to life at Cotton Creek Farms. At first she could not quite understand all the human visitors or the fact that all the alpacas would run to the humans to interact. But that was short lived. After a few weeks she realized humans were safe and they brought treats. Bronze Sunset is an excellent mother. She provides just the right balance of attention and independence.
Why Is She for Sale?
Our son had planned to raise alpacas full-time once graduating from high school. To support this effort we allowed him to purchase seven bred females and a new herdsire that would elevate our show herd. Shortly before graduation he decided to switch directions and attend college. We now have more breeding females that we need and we do not want these excellent seed stock producers to lose prime breeding years. We are offering each one up at a discount to help make sure they can continue to breed and produce top quality alpacas.
