Gidget is sired by Aussie 38 Special and out of a champion light fawn dam named CSAF My Peruvian Gianna. The 38 Special line is one of our favorites because it brings interesting colors and exceptional staple length.
Phenotype
Gidgit is cute as a button. Gidgit’s fleece is consistent, and well organized with excellent uniformity and crimp architecture with amazing density. All of this is packed on a solid, square frame.
Gidget’s 2022 EPD ratings place her in the top 5% for MSL, 10% for FW, 15% for SDAFD and %F>30, and 25% for AFD and SF.
Personality
Gidget is well-loved by human visitors and the rest of the alpaca herd. She is low-key and low-drama. She eats from your hand and likes to give her trusted human alpaca kisses. Now that she is older, she is eager for interaction and will push her way through the older females to make sure human visitors know she is present. She is eager for talks and pets as she entertains her human family.

Gidget’s ASIP alleles show she has black alleles in both locations. Her MC1R alleles show she has one dilution. This genotype combination tells us she can produce offspring in the full range of colors.
