Our packaging and shipping are designed to provide fast service with economical rates. We also strive to be eco-friendly and reduce unnecessary waste in packaging and transport.
Shipping Policy
- All orders are shipped from our farm in Thompsonville, Michigan.
- When at all possible, we package and prepare online orders within 24 hours of receipt on weekdays. USPS picks up the next business day.
- Peak selling seasons (like Christmas) will have orders processed with 24 hours, seven days per week, and these will delivered to the post office to help expedite delivery.
- There is a flat fee of $7.50 per order for most orders.
- Free shipping is automatically offered for orders totaling $250 or more.
- Orders are shipped via USPS Ground Advantage.
- Shipping insurance is automatically included for $100 per shipment. Addition insurance is available for purchase by the buyer if desired.
- International shipping is currently not available.
- Undeliverable orders are the responsibility of the customer. We will do our very best to validate your address prior to shipping. If an order is returned to us for an improper address, the buyer will be responsible for the cost of additional shipping.
Order Tracking
- All orders are automatically sent a confirmation email once shipped. This email includes your tracking information.
- If you do not see this email in your inbox, please check your spam folder.
- If you’d like to track an existing order via USPS, you can do so via the USPS tracking page.
USPS Damaged or Missing Shipments
Lost or damaged shipments are very rare. However, when it does occur, we offer the following information and guidance:
- Cotton Creek Farms cannot be held liable for the mismanagement of the United States Postal Service or theft once the package has been delivered.
- All shipping claims are to be done by the buyer and made directly to the United States Postal Service.
- If your delivery was damaged by the USPS office or driver, you can request a claim for damage or lost goods at https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm. We ship Priority Mail or Ground Advantage, so all shipments are automatically insured up to $100.
- When placing a claim, you will need to provide photos of the packaging, damaged product, and proof of purchase. If you need copies of the shipping receipt or your invoice, please let us know and we can email this over to you.
- Missing shipments should also be addressed directly with USPS. You can contact your local Post Office or go to https://www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm.
- To replace a missing or damaged item due to shipping, you would place a new order via our website for fulfillment.
