May is the first daughter of Adel. Adel was our original foundation purchase and the first baby we had on the farm. Both ladies come from a line and willful matriarchs. So far Miss May is living up to her Great, Great Grandma 5Peruvian Micay’s reputation. May is smart, confident, and does what she’d like, when she’d like. And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Lineage
May was born to Crystal Royal Gold’s Adel and Elk Jacob. Elk Jacob is an Amber Autumn herdsire with Snowmass genetics. He places in the top 5% of 2019 EPDs and has won multiple awards including two Champions, two Reserve Champions, and two first place ribbons. Adel is a blue ribbon winner with top 10% EPD ratings.
Color Genotype: EeAa
May’s ASIP alleles show she has a brown allele that also carries black. Her MC1R alleles show she has one dilution. This genotype combination tells us she can produce offspring in the full range of colors.
