Our Smith Rock pile alpaca jackets are made from 93% alpaca and 7% repreve thread (recycled material) which is used for the trims, zippers, pockets, and thread. This jacket is made in the United States from locally grown alpaca fiber via the Climate Beneficial fiber coop.
The coloring is a lovely rose grey that varies slightly for each production run. That is the beauty of natural products. Each mill run is slightly different due to the natural alpaca fiber used.
This alpaca jacket is super soft and has a sherpa-like feel. Since alpaca is thermoregulating, you'll be the perfect temperature and never too hot or too cold. Alpaca is naturally hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and naturally repels water.
Recommended Care: Hand wash in cold water and dry flat.
These jackets are unisex and the listed sizes would be for men. Look for matching hats in our store.
Climate Beneficial has been developed by scientists, technical service providers, and the non-profit Fibershed. The collective accurately measures the impact of regional fiber systems and actively works to reverse climate change. All products produced from this program are held to the highest environmental standards.
